introduction to
ecologies of care
Rooted in justice and liberation for all beings, this workshop investigates themes of deep ecology, ecological reciprocity, and community care.
Inspired by the work of Joanna Macy, we will flow through the Spiral of the Work That Reconnects. This means rooting ourselves in gratitude, honoring our experiences of pain for the world, practicing seeing with new and ancient eyes, and leveraging the support of this collective experience to go forth with hope.
In this workshop, we will explore:
+ Ecology of communities and what it means to be in reciprocal relation to all beings
+ Earth-based practices, such as tapping into solastalgia and tending to ecological grief
+ Experimenting with nature as oracle as pathway to dropping out of the typical, mainstream ways of thinking and being
+ Sitting in meaningful council with others to both witness and be witnessed as we establish what it means to be part of ecologies of care
Time and location:
We will meet online, Saturday, December 13 at 10:00 AM PT – 12:00 PM PT. Once registered, you will receive an email with instructions on joining the workshop.
